MarketOne Announces Opening of Tokyo Office
Continued Growth of Japanese Customer Base Cited
Maynard, MA - September 18, 2006 -MarketOne International, a global provider of teleservices to software and IT solutions providers, today announced the opening of their Tokyo office. Located in the Ichibancho section of central Tokyo, the office will serve as both a sales and operational center, servicing Japanese customers. Ms. Rieko Yamada was named the General Manager of the new entity, MarketOne Japan, LLP. A four-year veteran of MarketOne, Ms. Yamada previously managed the JAPAC execution unit at MarketOne headquarters in Maynard, MA.
Spencer Harvey, President of MarketOne International, remarked, "The opening of our Tokyo office is the culmination of a four-year plan to establish a local presence in Japan. While we have successfully serviced Japanese customers from the U.S. since 2002, we have always believed that the key to growth in this region was tied to establishing a Tokyo office. We can now interact more easily with our customers; we have expanded access to qualified employees; and we are in a position to better understand and respond to the changing needs of Japanese technology companies."
Ms. Yamada explained her vision for the growth of the new office, "Our goal is to retain existing operational methodologies as we welcome additional native staff, and also to introduce increased sensitivity to the local business culture. The combination of Western tele-discovery tactics with Japanese business sensibilities is a formula that is proven to build market share for our Japanese clients." Ms. Yamada is a native of Tokyo, having spent six years in the U.S. and receiving an MBA from Boston University.
MarketOne will retain several key Japanese team members in its HQ location, to provide support and training to the growing Tokyo office. MarketOne currently services approximately a dozen major customers in Japan.
